Senior Human Resource Generalist

Senior Human Resource Generalist – Direct Hire
Plymouth, MN 
 
Currently looking for a skilled individual to fill a Direct Hire Senior Human Resource Generalist role with a company in Plymouth, MN. Interested candidates should have a degree in Human Resources, 5+ years of HR experience, along with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
 
Senior Human Resource Generalist Job Description:
  • Administer HR policies/programs, balancing employee advocacy & business operating needs
  • Create, update & apply all HR policies & company guidelines, adhering to laws/standards
  • Prepare & process payroll using a 3rd party provider & HRIS system
  • Partner with staffing agencies for recruitment/hiring assistance
  • Recruit, evaluate, select & onboard new hires
  • Administer health & welfare plans, including enrollments & terminations
  • Manage annual open enrollment - Serve as the COBRA administrator
  • Maintain employee records including I-9 and W-4 information  
  • Process monthly billings from insurance providers & review billings for accuracy
  • Coordinate & assist with EEO, Affordable Care Act, Department of Labor & ERISA
  • Represent Safety Committee - Responsible for OSHA reporting & Worker’s Comp claims
  • Ensure that payroll is processed in a timely & accurate manner
  • Process & track 401K plans including enrollment, changes & year-end reporting
  • Handle employee relation issues effectively and escalate as needed
  • Notify MGMT of potential problem areas & recommend/implement solutions
  • Write, revise & edit company policies & procedures
  • Facilitate employee education & communication via newsletters, meetings, memos, etc
  • Coordinate company employee engagement activities
  • Terminate employees & conduct exit interviews
 
Senior Human Resource Generalist Job Requirement:
  • AA degree in Human Resources or SHRM-CP or PHR certifications (Bachelors preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience working in Human Resources
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access & Outlook
  • Strong public speaking & presentation skills
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
  • Payroll processing experience
 
The starting salary for the Senior Human Resource Generalist position is $95,000-$110,000
