Line Lead

Location: Plymouth, MN
 
Currently looking for a skilled individual to fill a temp-to-hire Line Lead opening with a company located in Plymouth, MN. Interested candidates should have related line lead experience in a pharmaceutical, supplement or food manufacturing environment, be able to perform equipment maintenance, and have strong communication and organization skills to ensure production goals are regularly met
 
Line Lead Job Description:
  • Work with supervisors to organize equipment, rooms, and employees needed to meet production goals
  • Troubleshoot equipment/line problems
  • Operate at least three productions positions (cartoner, tubing, sachet, wrapper, or stick machine/accessories)
  • Meet line production goals on time 
  • Act as contact for production, R&D, mechanic personnel when bringing products to production lines 
  • Execute, monitor and evaluate packaging and process equipment operator training programs 
  • Understand and support operations KPI goals
  • Monitor equipment logs and document scheduled and non-scheduled events to support planned production 
  • Contact for attendance and PTO requests 
  • Audit SOP’s and operator knowledge of SOP’s
  • Track and monitor equipment receipts, install and test new equipment to ensure it’s ready to use
  • Assists operations with facility design changes and new equipment to ensure compliance with procedural and GMP requirements 
  • Write and edit SOP’s to support GMP operations
  • Support validation team
  • Communicate and work with other departments as needed 
  • Maintain cleanliness of line and work area to 5S Standards
 
Line Lead Job Requirements: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of related line lead experience 
  • 1+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role, preferably in food, pharmaceutical, nutritional supplement or a dry product company
  • 1+ years of experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment 
  • 1+ years of experience working with automated manufacturing lines and operating manufacturing equipment 
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance and calibrate equipment 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and physically fit to endure pushing and pulling up to 100 pounds
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work/communicate with all levels of production
  • Problem resolution skills
  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to coach and mentor operators
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Safety conscience – follow all FDA and OSHA rules and regulations 
 
Compensation for Line Lead
 
The starting salary for this position is $20-$24 per hour.
